A recap of my memory being the first car, involved, in a three car pile up. My little car coasted forward an entire exit past the scene of the crime, from impact alone. Numerous chiropractic visits and a MRI later, the insurance that I had managed to scrape together would no longer be able to cover my recovery needs.

Sent home with a list of recommended stretches and a tube of gel for the pain, I was now expected to live life with a herniated disc and periodic shooting pains

…while working at a job that required me to stand for the majority of my shift.

Well, life did indeed continue on…I found out I was expecting! Overwhelmed with excitement I very rapidly became what the internet calls a “granola mom”.

You see, I had been told by doctors I would never carry full term because of my PCOS, Polycsytic Ovarian Syndrome. But how could I remain the holistic super mom of my dreams when I had to keep applying, what was beginning to feel like a layer of blue chemical gel into my skin? I couldn’t read most of the ingredients. The costs to keep it in the house were mounting and frankly? Though it cooled my skin it didn’t last long.

Determined to triumph I took to prayer and reading; and was lead to the concept of salves. After making a few batches for myself and enjoying the wellness it brought me, I knew I had to share my gift with our community.
